Fremstilles af friskbagt fuldkornsrugbrød som raspes og ristes. Ymerdrys med farin er sød og saftig. Desuden er det fiberrigt og fedtfattigt.

Gennem årene har ymerdrys været et kerneområde i Struer.

Ymerdrysset kan nydes på Tykmælk, A38 eller andre surmælksprodukter. Kan også bruges som en sprød crumble på f.eks. frugtsalat eller frugtgrød.
